Loving God, as we gather to remember the steadfast faith of your apostles, we are reminded of your enduring love and the call to unity in Christ. You are the foundation of our hope, the cornerstone of our Church, and the light that guides us through the complexities of life. As we prepare to offer our prayers, help us to focus our hearts and minds on you, and to pray with sincerity and faithfulness.

Heavenly Father, we give thanks for the foundational work of your apostles, Simon and Jude, and for all who faithfully proclaim your word. We pray for your Church throughout the world, that it may be built upon the sure foundation of Christ, united in spirit and doctrine, and be a holy temple acceptable to you. May all leaders and bishops of your Church be guided by your wisdom and truth. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

We bring before you all who are suffering in body, mind, or spirit. We pray for those who are ill, for those who are lonely, for those who are oppressed, and for all who are in need. Grant them your healing grace, your comfort, and your peace. We hold especially in our hearts those who have asked for our prayers, and those known only to you. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

We give thanks for the lives and witness of your saints, especially Simon and Jude. We commend to your eternal care all those who have died, that they may find rest and peace in your everlasting kingdom. We pray for those who mourn, that they may know your sustaining love. Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Almighty God, you have built your Church on the foundation of the apostles, and Christ himself is its chief cornerstone. Unite us in spirit by their teaching, that we may be a holy temple acceptable to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
