O God, who are the true sustenance of all life, we give you thanks for your Son, Jesus Christ, who declared himself the Bread of Life. Grant that, drawing near to him in faith, we may find our deepest hunger satisfied and our enduring thirst quenched through his Spirit, who lives and reigns with you, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
