  • A prayer for deliverance from darkness and entrance into the kingdom of the beloved Son 2026-10-29

Lord, I come before you today, reflecting on your profound act of deliverance. Your word in Colossians tells me you have "rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves." This is an astonishing truth, that I am no longer bound by the shadows, but have been welcomed into the radiant light of your love, through Jesus.

Help me, Lord, to truly grasp the magnitude of this rescue. So often I still feel the pull of the darkness, the old habits, the nagging doubts, the fears that try to hold me captive. When I feel that pull, remind me of my true citizenship, the kingdom of your beloved Son, where light and love reign.

Help me to live as one who belongs to this kingdom. Let my thoughts, my words, and my actions reflect the light of Christ. When faced with choices, may I instinctively turn towards what is good, true, and life-giving, knowing that I am no longer a slave to the darkness.

Lord, help me to walk in this freedom, to embrace the identity you have given me as a beloved child, and to live out the reality of your kingdom in my daily life.

Lord, help me to live in the light of your love.
