Faithful God, as we gather in your presence, we confess our need for your guidance and truth. In this time after remembering the saints and before we await the coming of Christ, open our hearts to your living Word and empower us to be your faithful workers. May our lives, in all their aspects, reflect your truth and glory.
Heavenly Father, we pray for your Church throughout the world. Strengthen all those who teach and lead, that they may faithfully handle the Word of truth, rightly dividing it with wisdom and love. Guide your people to be diligent and approved workers, not ashamed of their calling, but dedicated to sharing the good news of your kingdom.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for all in authority, for world leaders and those in our local communities. Grant them wisdom and integrity, that they may govern justly and serve the common good. May they always strive to understand and uphold your truth, working to build a society where righteousness and peace prevail.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Loving God, we pray for our parish family and our local neighbourhood. May we, as your workers, be diligent in our service to one another, showing compassion and offering practical help where it is needed. Help us to live out your truth in our daily interactions, bringing light and hope to those around us.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Compassionate Lord, we hold before you all who are suffering, those who are sick in body or mind, those who are lonely, oppressed, or in despair. Grant them your healing presence, comfort their hearts, and provide for their needs. May they know your sustaining power and the hope of your enduring love. We pray especially for… May they know your presence, your healing, and your peace.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
Eternal God, we give thanks for all those who have faithfully served you in this life and are now at rest. May we be inspired by their example, and may we look forward with hope to the resurrection and the life of your kingdom. We remember before you… May they rest in peace and rise in glory.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
So we bring these prayers before you, O God, trusting in your unfailing love and the power of your Son, Jesus Christ. May we, as your approved workers, faithfully present ourselves to you, living and serving in accordance with your truth.
Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
