  • A prayer for divine examination and peace amidst anxious thoughts 2026-10-30

Lord, you know me entirely, more than I know myself. You see my heart, my deepest desires, and my hidden anxieties. I bring before you my frailty and my fear, the worries that cling to me and whisper doubts in my ear.

Search me, God, and know my heart. Reveal to me the hidden corners where I harbour doubt or disquiet. Help me to bring these to the light of your presence.

Test me, and know my anxious thoughts. I ask that you would distinguish between my true self and the anxieties that try to define me. Grant me the discernment to see my worries for what they are, and the courage to release them into your capable hands.

Lord, help me to trust that your knowledge of me is perfect and your love is boundless. Help me to be at peace in your presence, knowing that even my anxious thoughts are seen and understood by you. May I find rest and reassurance in your unfailing love.

    Amen.

  • A prayer for God daily bearing our burdens 2026-10-18

Lord, my God, my Saviour, thank you. Thank you for being God, for being my God, and for being my constant saviour. Your word today reminds me that you “daily bear our burdens.” What a profound truth to anchor my soul. I confess that sometimes I feel the weight of the world, the worries of my own life, and the concerns for others pressing down on me. There are days when the burdens feel too heavy to carry, and I am tempted to feel overwhelmed or alone.

But then I remember your promise. You, in your infinite love and power, daily bear my burdens. Not just some burdens, or the big burdens, or the burdens I choose to give you, but all of them, every single day. This isn’t a one-off rescue, but a continuous act of love and strength.

Lord, help me to truly grasp this. Help me to release the worries I cling to, the anxieties that steal my peace, and the fears that paralyse me. Teach me to bring each new day, and each new burden, to you, knowing that you welcome them. Help me to trust that as you carry them, I am freed to walk with a lighter step, with more joy and less strain.

Lord, help me to truly understand what it means to have you bear my burdens. May this truth permeate my being, transforming my perspective and deepening my reliance on you. Help me to cast all my anxieties on you, because you care for me.

Thank you for your strength, your grace, and your unwavering presence. Amen.
